School Holiday fun!
Kids 'n' dogs 'n' tricks - Rooty Hill and Pendle Hill
- 4 hour workshops for school-aged children with friendly dogs of any age
- kids are shown how to teach their dog a few tricks (tricks depends on ability and type of dog)
- different tricks are taught at each seminar so they can come more than once
- sausage sizzle lunch is provided, includes cold drink and slices of fruit to snack on - lunch will at approx 11am so dogs get a break
- if mum and or dad want to stay and watch we'll feed them too!
- we also teach children how to be safe around dogs
- a variety of handouts will be provided and include colouring in sheets, how to draw, staying safe, and reminders on how to train each trick
- children also receive a clicker to help train their dog
- small classes with 2 teachers to ensure everyone gets all the help they need
- things like suncreen, insect repellant, poop pick up bags, water for dogs and people, and shade/shelter are provided
Rooty Hill
Date: Mondays in January 2010
Time: 9am to 1pm
Place: Woodstock Animal Hospital, 392 Woodstock Ave, Rooty Hill
Cost: *$65 for the each child and dog team
*$25 for each additional child (eg, you only have 1 dog but 3 children the cost would be $65+$25+$25)
Bring: an extra large container of diced devon, ham or chicken to treat your dog with
Dogs: Must be friendly to other people and dogs, with vaccinations and flea/worm treatments up to date. Dogs must also be wearing a collar and id tag and be on leash. No chains or slip leads/collars please.
Pendle Hill
Date: Tuesdays in January 2010
Time: 9am to 1pm
Place: Great Western Animal Hospital, 469 Great Western Highway, Pendle Hill
Cost: *$65 for the each child and dog team
